For this entry, I was uncertain of where to start on or what to focus on. I tried to pin point the best part of the trip, but there were so many amazing things it was so hard for me to choose just one. The first thing that came to mind was the part of my trip that every Thursday was ‘excursion day.’ We got to explore 11 total different cities in Italy, and see so many different things and cultures all over the country. We went to Pompeii, Cortona, San Gimignano, Siena, Pietrasanta, Assisi, Bologna, Venice, and San Casciano. Every different city that we went to, we did different things and tours of different places – which really helped to explain the history of the town. There were times that we were too tired or it was rainy and we complained of stopping in certain cities, but I am beyond grateful that we ended up being forced to go. There were many cities in Italy I most likely never would have had the opportunity to travel to, and even did not know existed – but through UD we were brought to them and I am so grateful that we were, because I truly would have been missing out if we had not gone.
